K-theory originated as the study of a ring generated by vector bundles over a topological space or scheme, but that’s not what what we are going to be talking about today. K theory is a duo of artists from San Francisco, CA, who have done so much work within the past year. Producing over 80 tracks (originials and remix’s), which over half have dominated the Beatport charts. They are an eclectic group when it comes to music production, but their forte really lies in Glitch-Hop. Their music takes you through a journey filled with ups and downs and heart wrenching basslines.
I haven’t heard this song in a minute, but it brings me back to the good old days of crunk rap. In a lot of ways it was a precursor to trap, with so many similar elements of repeated samples, bouncy synths, drums, etc. Although not entirely the same, I think K Theory gives this a makeover that I could probably deem better than the original (not an easy feat).
