The sounds of trap can now be found virtually all over the world, which can be an indication that this genre is here to stay dispute all the talk that “trap is dead.” Some of the most interesting trapstyle sounds are coming from the Island of Japan, where the Tokyo duo, Noxin & Ses, have exploded on the scene. Since they started releasing tracks under the name Watapachi, less than a year ago, they have cultivated a large following. They have just also released their first EP, from Raw Records, which you can listen to below.
The Japanese duo, Watapachi, collaborated with the US trap artist Ookay to bring us this sick trap tune. It’s always to hear a different styles in a genre especially in trap because it can be so repetitive with hi-hats, guns blasting and same style of sampling. In this case, its refreshing to hear such a unique sound, of sampling and synths and use of drums. Watch out for the Tokyo Boys and Ookay, coming to a trap near you.
